On August 11, 2023, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Health, the Department of Education and Training, along with the groups and farms of livestock, slaughterhouses, and retailers organized a conference to summarize two projects: "Management of livestock farms" and "Traceability of essential food products of animal origin" for the period 2019-2023 with orientation to 2025.

The conference was attended by the High-Tech Association of Ho Chi Minh City, TE-FOOD Company and DAO Company (service provider). According to the report, the two projects have achieved positive initial results in managing livestock, preventing diseases, controlling slaughter and tracing the origin using Blockchain technology. The representative of CP livestock group stated the benefits of CP when participating in the two projects. Vinh Cuu Slaughterhouse strongly supported the transparency of the whole pig origin, which helped the farms and slaughterhouses affirm their brand and quality.

Regarding the traceability system of livestock

TE-FOOD software manages 35 types of animals, timely records, detects and handles through symptoms, images of sick and dead animals. More than 34,000 pigs have been traced and more than 1,100 farms have registered to participate. The system has also integrated with the TXNG system of Ho Chi Minh City. Although the results are modest compared to the set goals, the conference analyzed and proposed solutions for the next phase.

Dong Nai province sets a target to ensure 100% of livestock farms participate by 2025, enhance quarantine work and support livestock. The two systems will be connected to enhance their strength, and the departments and agencies will join with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. These are important steps to develop Dong Nai's agriculture.
