On the morning of September 26, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, a workshop on food safety and traceability was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Denmark. Danish experts introduced the model of food safety control of Denmark, which is very scientific, transparent and effective.
The Department of Science and Technology and the Food Safety Management Board, state management agencies and large corporations such as CP, Vissan attended. Danish experts pointed out that the goal of traceability is to help manage food safety, not to “scan QR codes to farms”. TE-FOOD shared with Danish experts on the side about the Food Safety Management Support System - Product Recall tested in Portugal - EU for fresh and processed food products (seafood, coffee, beer, soup powder). They were surprised that Vietnam had a very modern system that not every EU country had.
